Starting Your Model-A

1. Put EMERGENCY BRAKE ON by pulling all the way back (located to front or
    right of gear shift lever)

2. Place GEAR SHIFT LEVER in neutral ‘N’ position – (standard ‘H’ pattern )

3. Turn GAS ON/OFF VALVE to ON position, so handle is vertical (located under gas
    tank)

4. Raise SPARK LEVER all the way up to the top (located behind steering wheel on left
    side of steering column)

5. Pull GAS LEVER 1/3 way down (located behind steering wheel on right side of steering
    column)

6. Turn GAS ADJUSTING VALVE KNOB clockwise to closed/stop position, then counter-
    clockwise to open ½ turn (located on right side of dash at end of choke rod)

7. Turn IGNITION SWITCH to ON position (located on dash panel)

8. Start engine by depressing STARTER BUTTON (located on floor to the upper right side of
    steering column)
    Pull CHOKE ROD out 1 to 2 seconds while engine is turning, if motor don’t start right
    away

9. Push GAS LEVER all the way up after motor starts,
    Pull SPARK LEVER down 2/3 to 3/4 from the top
    Allow motor to warm up for 2-3 minutes

10. Release EMERGENCY BRAKE LEVER by depressing button and pushing lever forward
      (located on top of lever)

11. Push CLUTCH PEDAL in (located on floor to left side of steering column) shift
      GEAR SHIFT LEVER into 1st gear and slowly release clutch

12. Depress GAS PEDAL to increase motor speed (located on floor to right
      side of brake pedal)

13. Shift GEAR SHIFT LEVER into 2nd gear around 5 Miles Per Hour
      Shift GEAR SHIFT LEVER into 3rd gear around 20 Miles Per Hour

14. Drive safely………………………….
